A Bold prediction
Oh how quickly they forget.
The University of Texas is starting to think they can actually WIN this weekend against Oklahoma. And the sportswriters are drooling over a "Battle of Undefeateds".
But let's take a look at just who Texas has beaten, shall we?
North Texas (65-0) Should be a Division 1-AA team, and is the only team to ever win their conference with a LOSING record.
Arkansas (22-20) Hardly the team that shocked Texas in Austin last year, Arkansas still almost pulled off the upset with one veteran and a lot of untested younger players. This should have been a blowout.
Rice: (35-13) Rice?
Baylor: (44-14) Yes, they HAD to play them, but seriously, how can you give up a combined 27 points to RICE and Baylor and call yourself a football team?
You can see more on the Steers at their website, which is: www Tex Ass Ports com (but all one word)
Meanwhile, Oklahoma has beaten:
Bowling Green (40-24) A MAC Powerhouse, and better than anyone expected this year.
Houston (63-13) The kind of score OU SHOULD put up against teams from Texas.
Oregon (31-7) Note that says PAC-10 Stalwart OREGON, and not RICE.
Texas Tech (28-13) The same Red Raider team that hung 70 on TCU ran into a Sooner buzzsaw in Norman, and "Cumbie" was once again a little red slab of clay.
So my not-so-bold prediction is that the Sooners will defeat the Longhorns in impressive fashion tomorrow.
I am so confident in my prediction, that if I am wrong, I will place a link to the U-T site on my blog for the rest of the season.
